Inspired by Ephesians 5:8

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. *Ephesians 5:8*

I use to walk with the crowds

Where no one could be distinguished

Everyone in pain

Everyone giving a fake smile

Nothing changed- no matter what you tried

There was no escaping the darkness

Or the loneliness

I was so fed up with the same old thing

The crying every night

The guilt

And in the midst of the chaos

I heard God’s call

He saved me

Changed me

Renewed me

Made me a different person

It may seem I walk alone

But God walks with me everyday

There is no more constant hurting

Just tears of joy and gratefulness

I shine while walking pass the crowd

They notice the difference

They notice the real smile

The light that cannot be contained

It’s enough to spark the light within them

To give them hope for a

Better tomorrow
