I sat on the front steps of my porch

The street was silent as it ever could be

Colors flew down the street,

Snakes hissed at pretty girls

My Dad yelled out the window,

“Come upstairs!”

I can’t seem to move,

I was hypnotized by all the colors

The way it all seem to blend together

A mixture of red, black, white and even brown

From the pollution

This is my world

My damaged kaleidoscope
